What each part means

HostingYour site stays online, fast, on your own domain.

What we do. Your site lives on fast servers around the world. We pay for and manage them, keep your domain pointed at them, and keep the lock in the address bar (the SSL certificate) valid.

Why it costs. Servers, the certificate and the time to look after them cost money every month, whether or not anything changes on your site.

Security and updatesWe keep the software behind your site up to date.

What we do. We update what your site runs on, close holes as soon as they're found, and keep your forms protected from spam.

Why it costs. Websites get attacked by bots every day. Staying ahead of that is ongoing work, not a one-time setup.

BackupsEvery version is saved, so nothing is ever lost.

What we do. Every change we publish is kept as its own version. If something goes wrong, we can put the last good one back in minutes.

Why it costs. A broken site costs you customers. Being able to roll back fast is what makes changes safe.
